Blackberry Troubleshooting: Hotspot mode

I can’t use my smartphone as a mobile hotspot:

Try the following actions:
Verify that your mobile network connection and your Wi-Fi connection are both turned on.
Verify that your BlackBerry smartphone is connected to the mobile network by checking that the
in the connections area at the top of the home screen.
Verify that your wireless service plan is set up to use Mobile Hotspot mode. For more information, contact your wireless service provider.
If you are roaming, on the Mobile Network Options screen, verify that the Data Services field and the While Roaming field are set to On.

 

I can’t connect multiple devices to my mobile hotspot:

Depending on your wireless service plan, you might not be able to connect multiple devices to your mobile hotspot. For more information, contact your wireless service provider.

 

Turn on or turn off Mobile Hotspot mode

Before you begin: To perform this task, you must turn on your BlackBerry smartphone’s Mobile Network connection and Wi-Fi connection.
The first time you turn on Mobile Hotspot mode, your smartphone might prompt you to activate your Mobile Hotspot account, and set a password for use with your Mobile Hotspot account.

On the home screen, click the connections area at the top of the screen, or click the Manage Connections icon.
To turn on Mobile Hotspot mode, select the Mobile Hotspot checkbox.
To turn off Mobile Hotspot mode, clear the Mobile Hotspot checkbox.
When Mobile Hotspot mode is turned on, the indicator appears in the connections area at the top of the home screen.
